Moore Haven Elementary
Striving To Be Florida's Premier Learning Organization

Safety Patrol members helped MHES students and staff to recognize the contributions and sacrifices made by all veterans past and present with a special flag raising ceremony on Veterans' Day.  Students raised the flag, accompanied by "The Star Spangled Banner."  When the music ended and the flag was raised, a 'twenty-one gun salute' was performed with fireworks.  Thank you, veterans, and good job, Terriers!
Congratulations to Mr. Glenn Ford!  Mr. Ford was elected by the staff and community to represent Moore Haven Elementary School as our Support Person of the Year.  Mr. Ford is our In-School Suspension and Turn-Around Terrier Para-Professionall, but he does so much more.  He fills in for our school nurse when she is away, helps Mrs. Hall in the library, helps to decorate the school, and even worked our Haunted House on Halloween.  The Terrier Dog logo you see on our website and acroos the school was actually drawn by Mr. Ford when he was a student in Moore Haven.  Congratulation, Mr. Ford.  Thanks for all you do!
